Villa Serena is a lovely rustic countryside villa located on the outskirts of Alghero and is built on two floors; ground and lower ground.

There are four nicely sized double bedrooms; two on each floor, with the possibility of a fifth bedroom (double sofa- bed in the lower ground floor sitting room). Each floor has a shower room with toilet, shower cubicle, sink and bidet. The shower room on the lower ground is a 'Jack and Jill' room - accessible from both bedrooms. For the little ones, we have 2 travel cots, 2 travel high chairs and a baby gate. Please advise us in advance if these baby facilities are required.

The living accommodation is on the ground floor and comprises of a large living and dining room with a fully fitted and equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven/grill, microwave, 5 ring gas hob) The 50 " Smart TV comes equipped with Netflix films and is located in the living area which has ample seating for all our guests. We have provided a Bluetooth actuated Boom loudspeaker for connection to your 'tech' so that you can play your music.

There is a dining table and chairs for those who would prefer to eat inside.

We have designed the villa so that two sets of families or friends can holiday together but can also take time away from each other too by retiring to the cool sitting room on the lower ground floor. Here you can let the kids play board games or sit quietly and read. There is a double sofa bed which can be used for extra guests (if more than the standard occupancy of 8 guests is required then we have to know in advance)- although they will have to use the toilet upstairs.

The villa can be booked as a 2 bedroom option for 4 people with the ground floor bedrooms and living room and shower room made available. The pool and the whole of the grounds are also included within this option. The lower ground rooms and wall-safe would be made unavailable for the period.

The new addition of a twin bed, en-suite annexe set in the corner of the villa garden will add an extra 'bedroom' and increase the number of people able to sleep at the villa to 10. The annexe is only available if the whole villa is hired and is at an additional cost.

The large south facing covered terrace, which overlooks the pool, is where you can dine and relax 'al fresco'. The west side of the terrace has a table tennis table and space for the kids to play games.

At the side of the terrace is an outside Summer kitchen complete with wood-burning oven/barbecue, 5 ring calor gas range, sink, fridge, washing machine and preparation area to complete the 'al fresco' life. The large barbecue oven also serves as evening heating on chilly nights.

There is also a quiet patio area at the rear of the villa and a small paved area at the bottom of the stairs leading to the lower ground floor entrance.

The freshwater pool is set in front of the villa and measures 13m x 6 m. The shallow end is about 0.85m deep and extends for about 4 metres from the roman steps. This is an ideal depth for smaller children and mums and dads with toddlers or babies. The deep end is 1.8 meters deep and we have a NO DIVING policy. In the early summer months, the naturally heated water has a temperature of about 25 - 27 degrees Celsius and in the height of summer, it rises to about 33 degrees.

There is a 2m paved area all around the pool complete with 8 sun loungers and 2 parasols for sunbathing. A solar heated outside shower is situated near the Roman Steps.

 Beyond the pool, there is a large flat lawned area for playing football, badminton, volleyball etc.

The villa has an electrically controlled gated entrance (with intercom) and a long drive through the lush green garden.

For security, there is a CCTV camera system that monitors the villa grounds and the gate.

There is digitally lockable wall safe located in the property for safe storage of passports/documents etc.

The price of the property includes electricity (there are Air Conditioning units in every bedroom and the living rooms) and cooking gas, W andi-Fi, towels and the bed linen (not beach/pool towels), and end of stay cleaning. We can provide 2 x travel cots (with bedding), 2 x booster high chairs and a baby gate on request (to be booked in advance please).

The pool will be cleaned every day and the lawn cut twice a week.

 The price EXCLUDES flights, transfers and taxes and there is also a  refundable damage deposit of £375 per rental period. This is payable with the balance and refunded two weeks after check-out - subject to an inspection after departure and no damage found.

Check-in time on day of arrival is 1630, Check-out time on day of departure is 0930

Late check-outs or early check-ins can be accommodated providing we do not have other guest either coming or leaving on that day and this has to be pre-arranged with us during your stay and not before. There will be an additional cost for this facility.

The cost of this will be taken from the Damage Deposit or via Paypal (whichever is more convenient)

We require a  booking deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost payable on initial booking. This will secure the dates on the bookings calendar.

For rental periods that span two different months, just add the different nightly rates to get a total.
