Happy New Year (and a new hedge!)
Happy New Year to you all.
We've got more plans for the villa this year and are in talks with builders as I write. (More information soon).
We have had to cut down all the leylandii trees that were at the front of the villa because they had a disease and the trees were dying. It was a shame but no-one wants to see brown dead trees on their holiday. In their place, we've planted 120 Elaeagnus hedge plants. They're only 180 cms tall at the moment but in a couple of years they should be about 3m high. Bear with us and nature on that one!
We've also trimmed the massive laurel hedge on the east side of the garden which will give the illusion of a bigger space.
